I have just realised I have not done a blog post for two months!I read everyones blogs and comment but have felt I had nothing of importance or interest to add. So here goes.....What have I been reading. My latest is Mrs England by Stacey Halls.I have read The Foundling and theFamiliars and enjoyed them both(although two memers of my reading group felt they were badly written).I have also read The Silent Patient by Michael Michaelides. Where the Crowdads sing. The Pull of the Stars Emma Donohue. The Glass House?< The bookmark was made by my daughter. I have quite few craft projects on the go. Socks. One done, one to go. Attic 24 Dune blanket.57 colours done.47 to go. I have also just finished a waistcoat, knitted. I am finally settling in our new house. It has been lovely over the holiday to see more of Sarah and Emily and Ruby. I dont know if this will work.br>div class="separator" style="clear: both;">

  2. It sounds like you've been busy. I've read The Familiars by Stacey Halls and really enjoyed it, I've got The Foundling on my bookshelf waiting to be read. I loved Where the Crawdads Sing, such a beautiful book. I'm pleased to hear you're settling in at your new house, it's nice that you're nearer to your family.

  3. I'm pleased that you are settling into your new home. It sounds like you have read some interesting book, I never seem to have time to read much. I love the socks and the blanket. Have a peaceful Sunday. xx

  4. I am not familiar with Stacey Halls, so looked her up on Amazon. Mrs England is not available to us here in Canada until April of 2022. I do love her book covers though. Will have to check out our library to see if I can get some of her earlier books.

  5. Hi Barbara,
I am impressed with all your crfat projects! You have been busy-as is fitting for your blog name. The socks are lovely colours. I read 'The Familiars' and quite liked it. The portrayal of womens' lives at that time was really interesting. I am currently reading 'The Mirror and the Light' which is brilliant but long!
