C Sorry this is a bit of a moan but I need to get it off my chest.was summoned to the doctors this afternoon following his blood tests yesterday. He has got acute rheumatoid arthritis and has been referred to see a rheumatologist urgently. At first I was relieved it wasn't Parkinson's but this is still going to have a big impact on his life and mine.At the moment I am feeling really down.He has had six years of various medical conditions and now this. Our friends all seem to be going through life without any problems.
Bless your heart, you are in my thoughts and prayers.

May I send you lots of love and best wishes. Although for the most part, I am still so very lucky in my own health, many of my dearest friends are not at all so fortunate. None of us knows what tomorrow will bring. Yes, this is a bit of a cliche, but truly it is good to treasure every day we are given. And each of us can find our own way to do this treasuring.

we are born without guarantees or comparative fairness. what we do have are our thoughts and our determination to marshall the same along a positive course. treasure your loved ones, your memories and live each day with love and faith. you are not alone.
ReplyDeleteOh, Barbara, I've just been reading your previous post about the symptoms your husband experienced - you must both have been so worried. I'm glad you have had a diagnosis so quickly and hopefully you will get to see the consultant soon to get some idea of what will happen next and what remedies can be used or taken:)
ReplyDeleteOh, I do sympathise. I have had rheumatoid arthritis for some years ... I was diagnosed in my forties. There are some great medications out there and once under control it often foes into remission. Things probably aren't as bad as you think. Hugs x
ReplyDeleteThat's a tough one ... I wish you both well...

These sort of complaints seem to hit you when your body is a bit compromised. Poor fellow. Hope his doctors are able to manage it and get it under control. Modern drugs work wonders.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear the news and I hope that the rheumatologist is able to reassure you and help C's condition. I wish you both well.

Thanks for your comment on my blog. I hope you can enjoy your new garden even with the news about your husband, I hope he gets the support and treatment that will help him, and you.
ReplyDeleteBarbara, so sorry to hear this, but you know, it may not be as bad as you think. He may feel better with the right treatment in time. Its not easy, but we never compare our lives to those worse than us, just those we think are better. Hoping things improve for you both soon, love Cathy x
