No photos in this post.I just wondered what is happening in Blogland.A lots of us seem to have lost our "mojo.I have 93 followers (I would love more) but don't hear from many and lots of blogs I followed in the past have stopped blogging.
So,I thought if I did a little resume about me it might inspire others to do the same and kick start us all again.
Here goes.

Matt's wife runs a coffee shop in Cambridge cb4.Sarah lives in Northwich in Cheshire and is a teacher. She has Emily who is 11 and about to start Secondary school and Ruby who is 8.
I live in North Wales which is beautiful.Lots of mountains ,castles and lovely coastal scenery. We live ten miles from Chester ( in England) which is a lovely city.

Lots of love to you all.Barbarax
Enjoyed learning more about you. I'm a retired primary school teacher too. My husband and I took early retirement just because we could. We have 1 daughter w/o lives in Japan. We live in coastal Georgia, that's in the southern part of the United States. I like crafting, reading g and traveling.
ReplyDeleteHi Barbara, I so enjoyed learning about you and your family. I live in southern California; we moved here six years ago to be next to our grandchildren. I too love to crochet, knit And do needlepoint. Although I'm an empty nester, I'm Mom to Lilly my Cat. Have a wonderful day. I look forward to reading your blog. Hugs, Pat xx
ReplyDeleteI think that outside influences can take up so much time that blogging has to go on the back burner. Now that the schools are closed that will also have an effect. I know that I seem to fluctuate from having lots to blog about to absolutely nothing. If I am on a sewing kick time flies by and I can only do the essentials in the house and walk Ben. Then another day I have time to read through my list, play catch up and send messages on face book, do a bit of skyping and so on. My laptop had been slowly dying and now this one has Windows 10, so far I do not like it at all. I find that I either comment on every post that I read or none, sometimes it is due to time constraints, sometimes I just have nothing to say that has not been said.
ReplyDeleteHello! Still here reading along even if I don't always comment, I am only on a blog break during August and then I will be back to it in September. Perhaps we should start a back to blogging campaign! xx
ReplyDeleteI've noticed that people aren't posting as much lately too, I think it's probably down to the school holidays, having children at home makes things busy. I'm sure it will all pick up again come September. I enjoyed reading your post and learning a bit more about you.
ReplyDeleteI too have noticed less comments and visits over the last week or two, I expect people are on holiday and busy with other things but it could be me getting repetative after 11 years of blogging. It is lovely to learn more about you, Barbara. I too read a lot but don't go to the cinema or theatre as often as we used to since I have lost some hearing and now have tinnitus. I tried to watch a film on TV a few days ago but struggled to hear, my favourites are the foreign films and series on BBC4 because I can read the sub titles:)
ReplyDeleteBarbara, I've always the fluidity of blogland. It's a place where folks come and go as they wish, and where many new opportunities to connect with folks who share various interests are abundant.
ReplyDeleteEven though lots of folks seem to have adopted instagram, some of those folks also have returned to blogging. Something I truly love about blogging is the opportunity to learn so much about what it is like to live in other parts of our world.
xo
Blogging is a hard business isn't it when life gets in the way! I read your comment on Winwick mums recent post. We must live in the same area as Yarn o' clock is about ten minutes drive away from where I live. Unfortunately the days the shop is closed coincides with my days off from work. I'm popping there in two weeks though. Anyway it was lovely to read about you. Take care x
ReplyDeleteThis time of year is a blog holiday for many as their schedules are different with school holidays, family activities and more time outside in the evenings. I agree with Jo that come September we'll all find the time again to have a good old blog about.

I read blogs almost every day but only post when I complete something. At the moment I am knitting a 4ply blanket which is slow going. I might knit something small just to have something to blog about! I noticed that lots of people who were really busy bloggers have stopped. Maybe they do other things now like Instagram and Facebook.
ReplyDeleteI'm still reading and writing when I can. So much gets in the way these days!
ReplyDeleteI'm knitting but projects are slow to finish. I think my next post will be in September now and hopefully it will be more newsy.
Thanks for telling us more about yourself.
Well, we're still here! :-) Life gets in the way from time to time, but I always try to pop in every week or so. Ros x
ReplyDeleteFrom one Barbara teacher to another I'm here. Relatively new to blogging so still enthusiastic and don't feel the need for a blogging break! I'm loving the whole blogging community and making lots of friends world wide. Should have started years ago!
