My latest finished project is the Begonia Swirl Shawl. The pattern is available free on Ravelry. The darker bit in the photograph is where it is doubled over.I used Geraint Lace Weight from Triskelion Yarn.It really is quite an easy pattern and is very effective when finished. It has only taken me a couple of weeks and I only knit in the evening.
Last weekwe went to see "LaLa Land " at the cinema.Have you seen it and what did you think.Tomorrow we are hoping to go and see "Lion"
What a beautiful shawl. My gosh, it's gorgeous. How proud you'll feel telling admirers you made that.
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely shawl, I love the way it swirls round! I do have a fondness for shawl knitting as you know so may need to have a look at this one - thanks for sending inspiration my way xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I'm amazed it only took two weeks.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, that is spectacular! You are a very skilled knitter and it must look wonderful on - enjoy wearing it.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful your shawl is, so delicate and I love the colour. Haven't seen that film yet although everyone seems to be raving about it:)
ReplyDeleteThat is beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteLovely! Clever woman !
ReplyDeleteThat is beautiful - stunning in fact!
ReplyDeleteThe shawl is fantastic, absolutely stunning!
ReplyDeleteThe shawl looks lovely!
ReplyDeleteWow, that's beautiful, stunning. It looks very intricate. I haven't seen LaLa Land, I'm not sure what I think about it really, whether I fancy seeing it or not.
ReplyDeleteHello and thank you for your lovely comment on my blog. You are indeed very lucky to live in such a beautiful spot. But the best is, you appreciate it and that makes it even more special, I think.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your Golden Wedding Anniversary, that is indeed worthwhile a great celebration! We have been to Lanzarote once and it was our very first holiday together. Rather special with its black beaches, isn't it? Greetings from (still) Belgium.
That is an amazing shawl! It's hard to believe that it's easy.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your 50th! It must be so amazing to see your family grow into the future like that. My kids are both in their 20s and nowhere near having kids, so I don't know if I'll ever know that feeling.
I though LaLa Land was mediocre. I've heard Lion is amazing!
It's lovely. The pattern I used for mine is Love in a Mist by Boo knits.
ReplyDeleteOh my, that is so beautiful Barbara; absolutely stunning!! I haven't gone to see La La Land but friends who did go didn't seem impressed. But we did go to see a recent release here in Australia called Hidden Figures which I absolutely loved.
ReplyDeleteLastly thank you for your lovely comments on my recent post.
Hello BBBJ
ReplyDeleteI am Penny, from VIolet White.
This shawl is lovely, I like making shawls but nobody seems to wear them now, however beautiful they are, so I mainly stick to making socks!
I still have some laceweight yarn, however, so I might try making this one!
