Scary weather

Scary weather here in North Wales.Gale force winds are battering against the back of the house.I could hear something banging outside ,went out to investigate and two fence panels are out.We drove back earlier from our daughter's in Cheshire and what a hairy drive it was.Fallen trees, branches and debris in the road and as well as the wind ,torrential rain.It seems to be easing a little now but who knows what we will find in the garden tomorrow.Living in the flooded areas of Britain must be an absolute nightmare and no sign of it getting better. We should be driving to our son's in Cambridge on Friday(three and a half hours away) but the forecast is terrible and the river cam is rising!!!Roll on Spring.

  1. We've been battered here too, but thankfully we seem to have escaped any damage.
    Keep safe x

  2. I feel sorry for everyone affected by this terrible weather. The "no end in sight" must be really depressing. Luckily my part of London is high up. We get winds but no flooding. We lost a fence panel weeks ago but it isn't worth fixing until calmer weather arrrives. I'm amazed we still have a roof on the house.

  3. Battered here too but nothing major thank goodness - just wheelie bins over and plant pots up-turned. Take care:)

  4. I am glad you are safe, I was thinking about you when I saw how battered North Wales was on the news. Sounds like a good idea to stay at home whilst the weather calms down a bit. S xx

  5. We were lucky here yesterday, the winds were awful and the rain fell like a deluge but no where near as bad as you had it in North Wales.
Hope your day today is better!

  6. Your report really brings home the strength of those storms. It's a good time to stay indoors and hope that your roof, heat and electricity stay strong.

Over here in NYC, we are now in the midst of yet another snow storm. A very strange new year all over. xo

  7. We're fairly close to the flooding being in Bristol but luckily it's on a hill so we're not directly affected. My son had difficulty getting down to Devon for an important interview because the trains were cancelled but I do feel for those poor people who are housebound with no let up in sight. :(

  8. I hope you decide to stay home as it's better to be safe indoors in this bad weather. The world is definitely going through some kind of shift and we must shift with it. I'm returning your visit from my corner of the globe in Northern California where we are praying for rainto relieve our severe drought. Stay warm and dry.
