Should my daughter be expected to......

Should my daughter be expected to into school tomorrow? She teaches Reception,4 and 5 year olds. But she is a Type 1 Diabetic and therefore vulnerable.I know she will go in.Nothing has ever daunted her.She was diagnosed aged 4 and has been on insulin for 44 years but I am worried.I sometimes sign texts FM fussy mother! You never stop worrying about your children whatever their age.

  2. Hand hygiene is the most important thing in this epic mess of 2020.

I find the UK has very different ideas of who should work and who shouldn't. I'm over 60 as most of the nurses on my unit. We have multiple medical issues but we are still expected to work. My coworker is a diabetic with a pacemaker. She hasn't missed a day.

This is in no way a criticism of you or your daughter, just a comment on how differently various nations are handling this mess.

  3. Absolutely agree with you.So many people are putting their care for others above their own health issues. Why have these key people not been a priority for the vaccine?
Sarah will be In work tomorrow like your team. She is more concerned about her “little people” than herself.I am just being a very worried Mum.

  6. I guess she won't be going in now that lockdown has been announced. I don't think I'll ever stop worrying about my children, I know my mum never stopped worrying over us. Eleanor's worked right through the pandemic, I've had Mick driving her to work and picking her up though just so that she doesn't have to use public transport. I think we should do anything we can to stay safer.
