My latest blanket.......almost finished!

This is my latest banket. You all know I am addicted to making blankets. This is not quite finished in that I have the edging to do.Quite a daunting task but I wanted to show you how it looked so far.The granny square pattern is from Jane Brocket's The Gentle Art of Knitting(I know it is crocheted but there is a crochet section!)It gobbles up the wool but makes for a thicker blanket.I used Stylecraft Special D.K.which is quite cheap but very soft and comes in 54 shades.I must say I am thrilled with how the colours have gone together and as the nights get colder working on a blanket is lovely and cosy and warm.

  1. You deserve to be very proud of that lovely blanket. I can see a huge amount of work has gone into it.

  2. The colors in that blanket are beautiful! I agree that Jane's pattern is a very good one.

What's your next project? Sometimes after I finish something that took quite a long time, I sort of want to have a rest, yet also want to start something else pronto.

  6. Absolutely stunning! I am almost there with the squares for my mood blanket, I would love to be able to join them all together before Christmas, so that I can spend the holiday making the border. How do you join the squares (this is the first time I have made a granny squares blanket).

  8. The shawl on my blog is crochet and it is a Japanese Flower pattern. You join the motifs as you go. It is made from cotton yarn, the very best thing I think I have ever made. Thank you for your compliments.
