Kerria japonica.

Do any of you in the UK have this shrub in your garden .I always considered it a toughie but two of mine have died this year.It seems, according to the RHS ,that it is being attacked and perishing. What a shame. They provided welcome yellow in the Spring.

  1. Yes, I have/had a lush stretch of it for years but nothing this year. It is a very welcome and prominent shrub so like you I have missed mine.

  2. We had one for ages but had to move it a few years ago. It lasted for a couple more years but sadly it has perished:)

  3. We have a couple in the garden and I did notice this year there were nowhere near so many flowers as usual. I put it down to OH over-pruning them but when I next go in the garden I will have a look and see how healthy they look.

  4. I've checked and one of ours looks dead! The other doesn't look very good either - stems look very unhealthy and it only has a few leaves :(
