To continue......

As I was saying on my blogpost (which just published itself!)I wasn’t very well while we were away. When we came back I couldn’t get an appointment at the doctors and I was in so much pain I decided to get an emergency dental appointment in case it was a tooth problem. He did an x ray which didn’t show anything but just to be sure he gave me a prescription for antibiotics.Well,he didn’t “give” it to me .The emergency appointment cost £30 and the prescription £8.This is a week ago and I am still not right.A check up at the dentists today concluded that it wasn’t a tooth problem but the antibiotics helped.Another £24 and I was in all of five minutes!!!I managed to see a nurse practicioner yesterday who has ordered loads of bloods tests tomorrow and I see a locus GP next Monday.
Do you in your area have difficulty getting appointments to see a GP or is it just here in Wales?

Now,my final question.Do you know where I can find a guide on putting pictures and captions on my blog.I manage the first one and then it is stuck .Help please.

  1. When you are doing your post before you publish, if you right cluck on photo a menu will open and you should see add caption, you are on blogger like me, so it should be the same.

    1. That's what I do too, although often I just type my caption close to the photo and that's fine.

  2. Why do we all have to pay for dental treatment when other medical stuff is free? it beats me.
We are really lucky with our surgery, they seem to have worked it out just right and we never have problems getting an appointment as long as you are not fussy who you see, either that or a dr will call you back the same day but then it is a big surgery with lots of doctors.
    Sorry not sure about captions.

  3. Oh dear, so sorry you have been unwell and in pain, I do hope all is sorted out soon. Hard to get in to see GPs here too:)

  4. Three weeks to see my doctor. Yes, we have free medical here in Canada, but it doesn't mean it's quick. I do hope your pain is gone and you get this figured out. -Jenn

  5. We wait sometimes for months for an appointment here in the States, and we don't have free care. Insurance is very costly. It's a bad system, getting worse with trump and his party constantly cutting coverage for people. Hope you feel better soon. I'm schedule to have the first of two appointments next week with my Dentist for a crown (old filling, and tooth chipped), needs repair. My portion will be about $500.00 and that's with me having decent Dental Insurance.

  6. Can’t understand waiting for weeks to see a doctor when you are sick. You’d certainly be very sick by the time you see one ! Thank Heavens our chosen Practice has quite a few doctors and you’ll always get an appointment as long as you are flexible with who you see and when you are really sick or in pain you need that.

  7. Long waits in London to see a GP. But my dentist is a star. He will see you the same day if you phone to say you are in pain. Sadly, he is retiring soon. Sigh.
