Sweet Pea blanket.

I am ready to start my Sweet Pea blanket designed by Lucy at Attic 24.I have put a sample of each shade on a lolly stick just in case I lose the ball band(as recommended by Lucy)
I have got a new phone so I hope this works and my photos are of a better quality. It is a Samsung Galaxy J6.Fingers crossed.
Anyone else doing the CAL?

  1. It looks like a lovely blanket but I'm not taking part in the CAL, as I have so many already. Happy hooking! X

  2. I have to show my ignorance here - what is a CAL? The colours of the wool are wonderful.

    1. I think it stands for crochet-along which is when a group of people crochet the same project and share trials and tribulations.

    2. Thank you, Una! I have come up with all manner of different permutations, but not that one. I can rest my brain now. Phew!

  3. Have been attempting to do a swatch, am on my third, gone from 4mm hook to a 5mm hook, now I know why the Moorland blanket I’m making for DiL looks a bit narrow! Will leave that for I am hoping to keep up with the CAL, haven’t done one before. I much prefer the trellis stitch to that used on the Moorland. I hope to post some photos on my blog, am determined not to give up this year.

  5. I love the colours of this blanket but to be honest I can't justify buying more yarn to make it I must use up more of my stash first, it looks like a nice simple design like most of Lucy's blankets, have fun making it. :) xx

  9. Love the colors, what a cleaver idea in case you loose the ball band. I don't do CAL's, I like to know what I'm making and often don't follow the full pattern...if at all, lol. I cook that way too. I look at patterns and recipe's for idea mostly.

  10. I bought the kit and used some of it for a blanket for Francesca, the rest is in the stash and will be used at some point. I do not often join in a cal as I tend to get distracted and fall far behind.

  11. I've only taken part in one blanket CAL before but fell so far behind and lost interest, much smaller projects seem to hold my attention more. It's a lovely blanket and I'm sure it will look fabulous when you've finished it.
