This is what we woke up to this morning here in North Wales. We had a lovely walk into town. The snow was really crunchy. The forecast for tonight is for it to get down to minus 5.Going to be very tricky tomorrow!!!!
We had a light dusting on the ice, a very hard frost last night. The day has been very sunny and the snow has all but gone from the mountains. We are supposed to get plenty more tomorrow, it will not affect us but I will be keeping an eye out for my neighbours.
I'm waiting a couple of hours before venturing out for a newspaper. I don't mind the snow. It's the ice that scares me. I could break a leg in an instant and spend months recovering....no thanks!
Looks as cold and ugly as the weather we are having. I really hate winter and we've just had our 3rd snow storm in recent weeks and like you had temps of -3 and -4 several days ago. Sure hope that's a thing of the past. Be careful walking, this time of year too many people have accidents from slipping and falling on ice or snow.
Should have said that is in the local park not our garden!!
ReplyDeleteJust a heavy frost in Hampshire along the south coast.
ReplyDeleteWe had a bit but nothing like that.

ReplyDeleteI like snow when I'm sat in doors with the fire going and when its all pristine and white not so fond of the grey sludge when it starts to melt.

I enlarged your photographs and they are stunning. Sunshine and ice is what we have had in Lincolnshire. My grandchildren feel short-changed!
ReplyDeleteMy cousin who lives in Rhuddlan is returning from a Caribbean (?) cruise on Friday. She's in for a bit of a shock !!
ReplyDeleteIt all looks very beautiful but I guess it is something we dread as well.
ReplyDeleteTake care
Love Chrissie xx
Your local park looks wonderful covered in snow:)
