What a difference a week makes.

I was anxious at this time last week but it has been great.Last Friday morning our closest friends came for coffee, the first visit to our new house. It got their seal of approval. On Friday afternoon we visited ( with our old U3A group) a garden in Burton village on the Wirral. What a wonderful garden set over three acres with really unusual plants. There were 22 of us,some we know, some we didn’t.It was just brilliant talking to other people. No masks required as we were outdoors.

Monday morning we were back to U3A Social History. It was a talk on Airbus which is a great employer in North Wales and Chester. There were 60 plus at this meeting and many of our friends were there. How good to catch up with them after 18 months. In the afternoon C went to his Music Live group where he plays ukulele. They are practising for a gig at the end of the month.Again, a first for him for 18 months.I went to visit a friend who has got family problems.

Wednesday we went out to lunch with three friends. It was in a hotel where our daughter got married so quite nostalgic. So,all in all ,a good week and I coped fine.

Tomorrow a visit to Dunham Massey NT weather permitting.

Hope you are all coping.

Best wishes

  1. Good that you can now get out and mingle. I think it must be Airbus that a cousin has just retired from - it was an aircraft manufacturer and he lives in Wrexham.

  5. There's no stopping you now that you're getting out and about again. It's such a good feeling to be able to meet up with friends and family again, something I don't think we'll ever take for granted again.
