Back from Menorca

We are back from Menorca. We had beautiful weather. This is the view from our balcony.
We stayed in a place called S'Algar.Very quiet.
We had a visit to Mahon the capital using the local bus.
How about this for a choice of colours?
 Lovely flowers.Hibiscus.
 Bottle Brush tree.
Help needed here.Does anyone know what this plant is?
It was a very restful week.It was good to feel the sun on ones face but is it worth all the waiting around at airports. We did all inclusive so we ate and drank too much.I think we decided this was not really our kind of holiday. We like our own space too much.Theprospect of a week in a cottage in France  I think is more"us" or a few days away in the UK.

Hope you can help with the flower

  1. I agree with you. I get really fed up with airports - so tedious and tiring, and worrying. We're off to France this year in a cottage! xCathy

  2. I think the whole airport experience can spoil even a great holiday. There are some beautiful places to visit in the UK. I have to say that I really enjoyed my Menorcan holiday. But it was 17 years ago when air travel was totally different.

  3. It might not have been ideal for you but it sure is beautiful. I think I would like several of those colors in those shoes.

  4. I think your flower is a Lantana.

  5. I agree with you about not much liking the hassle of air travel, even if the destination is swell. The French country cottage sounds like perfection.

Yes, that flower looks like Lantana, with its pretty color mix. xo

  6. Hello. I loved seeing your beautiful photos from the island of Menorca. My family has done all inclusive in the Caribbean and Mexico and it's always so much fun. I agree with you though, that traveling anywhere nowdays has become somewhat of a hassle. Enjoy your weekend! Pat

  7. Your mystery plant is called Lantana. It is an imported pest here in Oz. I wrote a blog about it some time ago.

  8. Glad to hear you had some nice holiday weather. Haven't been to menorca for years but my husband still has a pair of those shoes.
Agree about France and have already booked, let's hope we can get enough diesel to get to it!

  9. The plant name you are looking for is Lantana. I rather love the look of the flower myself, but in Australia they are saying it is a pest plant. Still looks groovy!
