This is my youngest granddaughter dressed as Fifi (Fifi and the flower tots TV prog). She had to go to nursery dressed up for World Book Day on Thursday. Her sister,Emily, went as Angelina ballerina in a
tutu but by the time I had got the camera out she had changed into her leotard ready for ballet.Mum,a teacher, went as Burglar Bill.
A good time was had by all!
She looks so sweet.
ReplyDeleteI had forgotten about dress up day as Alex is only doing one hour a day at the moment - his mentor was dressed as a naughty schoolgirl and the TA was dressed as a pirate. They found him a long scarf and dressed him as Harry Potter so he didn't feel left out.
This is cute! I must admit that I do miss this kind of stuff, Lotties old primary school used to have a thing where you decorated a jar and filled it with sweets and then you were entered into a raffle to win another of the jars. It was all good fun but now - nothing! Although we could host our own book giving party as we have rather a lot between us! Trouble is we both like reading. It is a great way to encourage young ones though to think about what they read.
ReplyDeleteHow cute! I love it when we have to dress up! I always participate (in fact I have a bit of a reputation for it!) - I had a full on Clifford the Big Red Dog costume one year - it was soo hot! (And the little ones kept pulling my tail). We didn't do World Book Day this year so I missed out. I do miss it with my own children though. I always remember Thomas winning a prize for being 'The Tiger Who Came to Tea!'
ReplyDeleteAww..your granddaughter look so pretty! Your flowers are very impressive too. I hope the frost doesn't ruin too many. :) x
